Tramadol 50mg is a medication classified as an opioid analgesic ( pain reliever ). It is primarily indicated for the management of moderate to moderately severe pain in adults, such as postoperative pain or chronic discomfort when non-opioid options are insufficient or poorly tolerated.

The drug acts directly on the central nervous system (CNS) to alter how the brain and spinal cord perceive and respond to pain.

Active Ingredient: Tramadol hydrochloride (50 mg) per tablet or capsule.

Therapeutic Class: Opioid agonist / Central nervous system analgesic.

Standard Dosage: For immediate-release forms, the typical adult dosage is 50 mg to 100 mg (1 or 2 tablets) taken every 4 to 6 hours as needed.

Maximum Daily Limit: 400 mg per 24 hours (equivalent to eight 50 mg tablets). Lower limits apply to individuals over 75 or those with severe liver or kidney impairment.
